YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS

Shreveport Opera prides itself on producing music and theatre in a fiscally responsible way – bringing world-class talent to the Ark-La-Tex while simultaneously living within our means. Those means include ticket sales, grants, and the support of our community. Opera is, however, an expensive art form to produce, and many would be surprised to learn that ticket sales only amount to around 25% of an opera company's operating budget. We thrive only with the continued financial support of the individuals, foundations, and corporations.

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (Tax ID# 72-6021455), Shreveport Opera is operating in the black. We are growing our future audience through special events, community outreach, and by exposing students in the Ark-La-Tex through the Shreveport Opera Xpress (or "SOX") program.

Donations are tax deductible and each donor receives a letter from Shreveport Opera along with a receipt as proof of the donations for the IRS. Donors are recognized on our website, in our programs, and are projected above the stage at our shows.

No donation is too large or too small - every dollar counts.

INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS

Donating to Shreveport Opera has never been easier. You can donate in the section directly below, by clicking HERE, or by calling us at 318-227-9503.

PLANNED GIVING

"Planned" giving (sometimes referred to as "legacy" or "estate" giving) is a charitable contribution arranged in the present but allocated at a future date (e.g., in a will, or the maturation of a trust or investment). Planned giving is a wonderful way to continue one's support and contribute to the security of the Company into the future.

If you are interested in receiving more information about planned giving, please fill out the form below. Filling out this form and receiving information in no way constitutes a agreement to give. It simply allows you to know more about the process. Know that Shreveport Opera respects your decisions regarding planned giving.

CORPORATE DONATIONS

Like individual donations, corporate donations are tax deductible. Our corporate donors are recognized on our website, in our programs, projected above the stage before our performances, and included on our donor board at the shows and at our Shreveport Opera Xpress programs. Corporate sponsors of specific events are recognized on the advertisments for those events and at the events themselves. For more information or to become a corporate donor or sponsor, please use the form below.

DONATING STOCK

Shreveport Opera accepts the donation of stock (i.e., shares or equities). If you would like to donate stock, please fill out the form below and someone from our office will contact you to assist in the transfer.

HOUSING OUR ARTISTS

Shreveport Opera brings world-class artists from across the globe to perform in the Ark-La-Tex. Housing these artists affords members of the community the opportunity to help the company in a non-monetary way. If you are interested in housing an artist during the production period (typically, two to three weeks), please fill out the form below and someone will reach out to you for more information.
