Shreveport Opera is 100% committed to protecting the health and safety of our community and our artists. Out of an abundance of caution, Shreveport Opera has determined that the mainstage production of “The Marriage of Figaro”, scheduled for April 18, 2020, at RiverView Theatre will be canceled.
Our hearts break for our cast of exceptional artists, but especially for our resident SOX artists who have been so warmly welcomed into our community, and who have spent months rehearsing, memorizing and preparing these leading roles.
To our patrons: thank you for your understanding, and of course for your unending support of Shreveport Opera. Because we still have major costs associated with this production, if you have purchased tickets already, we wholeheartedly suggest that you allow us to use your ticket purchase as a tax-deductible donation. If you are requesting a refund, please contact us via phone at 318-227-9503 or via email at email@example.com.
These are certainly difficult times for all of us. Our challenges will be defeated, our obstacles will be conquered, our illnesses will be cured, and soon, the grand voices of Shreveport Opera will once again fill the hearts and souls of our schools, retirement communities, and of our theaters! The strong and sturdy voice of Shreveport Opera is here for you and for the Ark-La-Tex for many years to come.
Thank you for your understanding in these unchartered times,
