How can you help the opera?

Entertainment and involvement!

We have a wonderful group of young singers who have joined us as part of Shreveport Opera Xpress. They would love to meet members of our community and learn more about Shreveport! Please consider offering your time, perhaps inviting them to your home for dinner, or showing them around your favorite places in our community. Call the Opera office, 227-9503, and we'll put you in touch with them!

Prop request list

We are looking for the following props for the next Opera (a few weeks before each show we shall send you a prop list).  Do you have or know where we can borrow these items?

Feed your family and help the Opera

Did you know that if you do your grocery shopping at Kroger's, they will give the Shreveport Opera a percentage of what you spend?  The Opera office has business cards for the cashier to scan before you check out, just like you would a discount card.  E-mail or call us to get a card:  executivedirector@shreveportopera.org or (318) 227-9503.

Spring cleaning = props and costumes for the Opera

Have you cleaned out the closets or attic and you're not sure what to do with things?  Shreveport Opera will take clothing and anything that might resemble a prop (furniture, tea pots, other household goods).  If we can't use it, we will send it on to Goodwill or have a garage sale.

Spare time?

Do you have spare time?  Contact us to see if there are office, ticket, prop or costuming tasks that can be tackled.
